Friend just bout 08 650 H1 and does not know jack about the arctic cat quads. I thought I read somewhere about a electric choke, is this atv carbureted or EFI?? Thanks Sean

 

The 650 H1 is a carb. Engine, the 550 H1 (Based on the 650 platform), 700 H1 & TCAT (951cc) H2 are all E.F.I. engines.

 

had my 07 for about a year. no problems and plenty off ground clearence without doing any lift kits on it. carb is very easy if you need to rejet. IMO its a very good atv...

 

Thanks for all your input, do you know if there is a electric choke on the 650H1, our maybe I was reading about some other quad.

Yes arctic cat dose have carbs with auto eletronic chokes so its like having an EFI as you just turn the key hit the button and she fires up. . . but its still a carb. . .

But at the rate cat is advancing there technology on there sleds i have no doubt that soon Cat won't be making carburated engine in the future they have batteryless pull start EFI sleds so theres plenty of technology other there !

Tho i do see that CAT is putting more time and bucks into there sled than ATVs ! so who knows. . .

There is a primer lever on the right side of the carb as you are sitting on it. Its a small lever that you push down and it has a return spring. I have to use mine most of the time as I live at 8500 feet and its geting cold now. Mine wont start without 5-6 pumps. Also, I was told by a friend if it wont start right away, let off and give the choke a chance to engage, then try again.

 

I have a 650 artic cat it won't run turns over but sounds like something loose in the bottle end when it cranking
