Rear diff torque specs
#2
The torque specs from my service manual for 2004 machines says the following: The die-cast aluminum housings have been assembled with thread-rolling screws (trilobular). When assembling with these screws, start the screws carefully into the housing; the use the torque value listed below.
M6 (Torx T-30 Recess) - New housing 8-9.5ft-lbs (1.1-1.3 kg-m) - Reassembled housing 6.5-9 ft-lbs (0.9-1.2kg-m)
M8 (Torx T-40 Recess) - New housing 25-31ft-lbs (3.5-4.3 kg-m) - Reassembled housing 21-25 ft-lbs (2.9-3.5kg-m)
M10 (Torx T-50 Recess) - New housing 37-45.5ft-lbs (5.1-6.3 kg-m) - Reassembled housing 31-38 ft-lbs (4.3-5.3kg-m)
If you are reassembling the rear diff I would guess that they are the largest of the screw listed above. I am pretty sure the smaller ones listed above are the ones used to attach the skid plate and stick guards.
Hope this helps
