Can someone tell me a good tire combination as far as size goes for the 300's. I still have the factory Titan 489s. I don't want to mess something up by changing tire sizes. Your help is appreciated.

Tellicocat, I have 26x12x12's on the rear, and 25x10x12's on the front, all Titan 589's. I never rode it with the stock tires, so I don't know how much power I lost, but it pulls those tires just fine. I don't use much high range though. I definitely recommend this combination.

Ford4x41995: Thanks for the reply. Most places that we ride you can't use high range. I was worried about changing the gear ratio and messing something up, but if yours came with those tires then it must be a good match. If I can figur a way to get some of our ride pictures on here I can show some of the places we ride. Again thanks for the reply

Tellicocat, the guy that I bought the Cat from had put his rear 25" 489's on the front, and a set of 26" 495's on the rear. I didn't like the 495's, so this past weekend I put the 589's all around. It's all hills around here, so I probably wouldn't have used high range with the stock tires either.

My brother-in-law bought a 250 4x4 cat, and I think he is going to try and go to a bigger tire also. I have 3 more friends who bought cats after I did and man do we have a good time. YOu can go to the search mode and look up Upper Tellico Trails and se some of the pictures from rides with Jeeps and ATV's as well. All thru the year they have club rides from all over the place. We went Sat. and there was about 50 Atv's leaving out about the same time we did. Thanks for the Info on the tire change.

Tellicocat:
Hey, would love to see those pics! If you like, you can go to Yahoo and click on the "photos" section. It will open up the main photo page and ask for your username and password. Since you probably don't already have one, click the "new user" or "sign on as new user" button-whatever they call it. Once you pick your name and password, you can start scanning in pics, or transferring from disk or computer any time you want. It's all free, and does a pretty good job-just be sure to click that little button for "public" useage, instead of private, otherwise nobody will be able to see them except for you. Oh, and if you select the resize button for medium sized pictures, it will show them on one screen size, so you can see the whole thing at once. On the large setting, you get like a little corner of the picture and end up having to scan across the entire thing, then down-a real pain to look at that way.

Hope that helps, best of luck!

Mike

Cowboy,Iwill have to get my sister to scan them for me, which I will try to do this weekend. we did not purchase a scanner with our computer. The pictures that I took were of a place they call guard rail and school bus on the Upper Tellico Trails. I will have them scan this weekend. Thanks for the assistance, and ride safely.

I am looking at getting 26x12x12 and 25x10x12 Titan 589's for my 300 4x4. I have the 8" wide factory rims on the rear. Can I get by without spacers?
