Thunder Cat MODS for more HP
#1
back in dec i posted some info regarding mods for more hp. heres the update. missed the deadline for having it ready to go back to glamis. due to the bike being what it is very few companies are making any mods yet. KMS PERFORMANCE IN PHX,AZ. my sons and their sport bikes have done lots & lots of work making their bikes faster. i took my TC to him to have it dynoed and tuned. 1st two runs came in at 51&52 hp. taking the air box cover off brought it up to 54+. KMS felt with a new air box and exhaust could possiable get 10 or 12 more hp. he's made the exhaust. in making the intake he uses K&N filter and builds to fit their filter. thev bike is running rich enough now he didn't think we would need a power commander made by DYNATEC. but if we did they haven't finished one for the bike yet either. so rather than putting one mod then the other we decided to wait till everything can be done completely. when the results are in i'll post them thanks.

THE EXHUAST will take out the collector to add a larger one with a larger new muffler. with just the new intake no filter and old exhuast the dyno showed a 8hp increase. hope K&N SHIPS SOON. WAHOO A KICK BUTT 4X4 CAN'T WAIT.

when were done i'll ask him. been a set back though. one of my boys he's 36 was racing my oldest son at China wall @ GLAMIS when the bike bucked him off and the nose dug in the ground and flip a complete 360 landing tires down over the top of him. other than a gash rip in his face and being sore everywere he's ok. the bike on the other hand will have the insurance adjuster look at it wed. things that i know are bad. front and rear plastic both front and rear racks, handle bars, front bumper, lites radiator bracket everthing else to soon to tell. but i git a call today saying the K&N filter is in and they could do the work if they had a bike. but i'll keep you informed.

I am truly sorry to hear about the accident. I hope everything is ok all the way around, of course family first. If your insurance co.s are like ours you wil have no troubles. Best of luck to you and your family. Hope to hear some good news soon.09T-CAT
