I am looking for input on a purchase. I am currently considering buy either and Artic Cat 400 or Suzuki 400 I am looking for your input and pro's and cons of each unit. I am primarily going to be using the ATV for plowing my driveway in the winter and just general riding around in the summer.

Either are good machine. The AC is more of a Utility ATV than the Suzuki would be. The Suzuki will be more of a soprt feel to it. Both will work for plowing.

If you plan to plow I would get rid of the stock tires (usually dunlop) and put on an agressive tread like a Mudlite , maxxis bighorn, Kenda bearclaw or someting similar. Also get a 60inch plow. Both of the machines you listed are about 50inches wide so by the time you angle a 54inch plow you are not clearing a swath wide enough for your tires. A 60inch plow is much better. Depending on how much wet snow you get you may even need to get a set of 4 tire chains.

Thanks for the reply. Are there any known mechanical deficiencies in either machine?
