all depends on how big of a drive and area you are plowing. i have a country state plow for a longer lane, and the moose regular works great on the short drive. i am looking to get the add on down force kit for the state plow, just to keep the pressure on the drive and not have to replow.

I put AC's composite 60" straight plow on my TRV w/Gorilla 3000lb winch with NP. The plow & A-Frame kit installed at my dealer was $580.
New Plow
I picked up the side markers and sno deflector (band on top of plow) at my local tractor supply for another $40. I added extra plow lights by modifying my AC gun Scabbard brackets and putting on a pair of BLAZER 55watt Walmart specials.

You will be suprized at what it will push. I have a 5 foot straight plow on my 400 and have no problem pushing 6 or 8 inches of snow. Good tires on the ATV help out a lot. I dug a ditch in my yard for drainage last summer and backfilled it using my ATV to push the topsoil.

How good does it move the snow? I know its only a ATV.lol Do you add any weight to the machine or anything?</end quote></div>
Really good. It pushes a surprising amt. - I pushed 12" + last snowfall - And NO I don't add any weight (TRV=725lbs empty + my 300lb butt) & I DON'T USE CHAINS! When I spin out, that's my cue to stop - back-up - and try again. Chains over stress things and break'em.
I mainly use LOW range too. Gotta keep a eye on revs, but the low end torque on a 650 H1 is unbelievable!

Good Luck!

I have a 60" Tusk plow from Rocky Mountain ATV on my 1999 AC500, it was inexpensive and it has worked very well for me so far. I've plowed 10" of snow without any problem. I've used it a lot for plowing race tracks out on the frozen lake for ice racing and even on ice it will move a surprising amount of snow. You won't be disappointed by how much snow you can move with it.
