idle speed?

idle speed?
Should be a black **** on the end of a small flexible cable (about 2-3inches long) on the right hand side of the carburetor. (on your right if you are sitting on the seat). If you remove the seat it is easier to see it.
Clockwise turn = increase RPM
Counter Clockwise = decrease RPM
Service manual suggests that you turn it past the desired RPM and then turn it down to the desired setting.
Engine has to be at normal operating temperature before making any adjustments.
RPM's should be between 1250-1350. I adjust my manual tranny CAT so that it does not jerk when I shift into first from neutral or from neutral to 1st gear.
It also seems like I have to set it a little higher in the winter and a little lower in the summer.
Hope this helps
