Whats a good tire thats good riding for trails but dominant in the mud and snow. I have an 2003 400 ACT. Also would 26" tires pose a problem?

itp mudlites would do that quad awesome. it will pull 26s but you may have to get stiffer clutch springs and a bigfoot kit to use them to potential. id go with 25 if youre gonna leave it stock

Is there a guide out there somewhere that can help me chose some better (than stock) tires but will also help me stay within a certain width? Mine is a 2008 650 but my trailer is only 51.5" on the interior. Can't afford for the toy to have it's own ride right now. Looking at the mudlites but can't tell how wide they'd be once installed. Like Mountainclimber, I really need something that is good in both mud & snow.

thanks in advance.

the mudlites are beefire tires but if you leave them on stock wheels they will be taller than wider so they should still fit in trailer

If the mudlites are bigger on a stock rim is is going to rub the springs on an ACT rear end?

The 589 is a very good tire however, for all around riding they are a bit stiff as they are 6 ply. I run 27 inch 589s in the winter and they are not bad riding in the snow but they don't give much on bare ground. I have a friend that trail rides a lot and he is sold on the teracross tire. He claims the machine even steers easier with them on and they give great traction. Take a look at them.
