my 2003 arctic cat 250 will not start. when i use switch, the engine cranks but will not start. have checked spark and is getting spark.will start after 5 or 6 pulls on the pull starter. only happens when cold. when engine is warm i can start by the electric switch.battery seems ok.
air filter clean. once started , runs well

 

I would clean or replace the spark plug and check that the choke is working properly. This is a good place to start. Sounds like a choke issue as my 400 and 500 will start on the 5th or 6th pull if I do not use the choke when cold. But I can go out in the winter at 20 below turn the choke on and pull start the machine on the first or second pull. During the summer using the choke it is nearly always the first pull.

Since its a 400 and a 500 you DO NOT want to pull start it too much.
