Default Bogging out help

my 09 700 H1 TRV seems to bog out when going through puddles or deeper water when going fast. It seems like I lose power until the water eases up...is this normal like a safety thing on AC's?

I haven't experienced pesonally, but I've seen similar posts on other forums stating the same issue. STEAM was the cause. Hot steam off the exhaust & engine billow up under the air box and floods the air intake. This causes the engine to "bog" down.

As you clear the water your in, your exhaust & engine are cooled enough NOT to create any steam, thus the engine runs normally.

Just a thought.

I could see that...so it all has to do with where the air intake is placed on the cats...my 700 sportsman never did that...thanks
