650 Display Screen
Hey boys I'm new to this forum. I live in Alaska and I've got an 08 650 H1. I just bought it in July after my deployment to Iraq. Everything seemed to be working fine until the battery was dead one day. I put the charger on it and fired it up but now instead of my info showing up on the instrument gauge, all I get is the orange back light. I'm wondering if the battery charger could have fried it or if moisture got in there. I had it stored under an ATV cover so I don't think that it is. I bought it off another guy so I don't think i can use the warranty. I've looked up the screen and they want 250 bucks for it so wondering if anyone has any experience or advice. Thanks a bunch.

I live in Levelock Alaska. When the temps. drop below 0 I've had to pulled the pod off the 500's and bring it in to the house for a few hours to warm it up but it will keep going blank when it freeze up. I wrote A/C to see if I could use the one out of the Prowler but no contact back. My Prowler and snowgo's have not froze yet. 3 years.

Helmuth,
You also have to be careful charging the battery when it is attached to the ATV. To make sure you do not have issues while charging the battery it is reccomended that you disconnect the battery. You should also never charge these small ATV batteries with more than a 2 amp charge or damage can occur to the plates in the battery.
I also live in Ak as well and I combat the cold on my ATV by covering it with anold electric blanket and a heavy canvas tarp. The blanket is plugged into a timer and comes on about 30-45minutes before I start it when I park it out side in the cold. It was free and works so I did not need to spend $ on other forms of block heaters and such.

I tried those steps on mine and it started working. But now it displays volt then comes back with my information, with the temperature emblem, and the high beam icon. Even the vehicle hasn’t even been run for 24 hours. Any advise? Suggestions. My guess is that the rectifier is the culprit but not sure.
