Hi, can anyone tell me how to check the oil level in a '99 250? I just got one and can't find a dipstick anywhere also what oil should I use?

i think the 250 and the 300 had a little window on the side of the motor,but i cant think which side its on. Anyhow the oil should be half way or a little more half the window. I think there is little side marks on it the the oil should be between.

check between the right rear fender and the tire. i think thats where its located.

 

It is. Mine was filthy and I just cleaned it off and it is the oil indicator.
