Well the rear suport brackets are gonna be INSIDE the lift kit instead of on the outside of it(know what I mean?). The front is gonna move away from the sandwitch plate syle lift and go with a square tubing style, the front support bracket is also gonna be modified for this change(it has 2 bends in it). Overall, it's just making the instalation alittle easier and it LOOKs alittle stronger, but the current style is more than strong enough if you ask me. HL has only had one person that was able to bend a lift kit(to my knowledge). That was a 350 lb guy riding a Foreman 400 and he bent 2 lift kits after getting what he said to be "about 6-7 feet of air". So if you can bend one, I'll be amazed.

Did your instructions tell you to put the spacers in the wrong spot? Mine did, and like a dumbass, I put one of the small ones in the front and got it all together, only to actually check on the other side, and then have to take it apart and pry the supports back. Then I slapped the large spacers in the front where they belong and proceded with the rear. Not too big a problem, but it was a 20 minute headache. I'm pretty content with the lift right now, but who knows. If I end up screwing up my differential, it would just give me reason to try to replace it with a 2001 diff. that could go into 2wd. Just a few minor mods to the fenders and you could probably get that to work. That is, if it bolts up to the driveshaft the same.

I also would really like to find out if the 300 diff. would bolt up to the 500. That would be absolutely awesome. I would buy it. I don't care what it cost (up to a point). Somebody needs to check on that one I think.

Andy,

Are you talking about the little small round spacers?? The directions say to put them in the right place(taller on goes in the rear, shorter one goes in the front{cause one of the sandwitch plates also fits into the shock mount}). The directions do have the rear suports wrong. The left one is suposed to face forward, and the right one is suposed to face rear ward like the directions say(or is that backwards).

on the contrary. My directions say the shorter round spacer goes up front and the longer in the rear. However, the long spacer fits flush between the original shock mount in the front and the short spacer fits flush in the shock spacer on the rear. I put the short one on the right front to begin with, cause i was going along with the directions. After tightening it down, I bent the shock mount down to fit it. Didn't seem right, so I took the other small one to the back only to see that it fit right there. Put the large spacer on the right left side and it fit perfect. Then I had to take apart the left front, take out the spacer, pry the mount back to its original width, and install the other long spacer in the right front. As far as the brackets go, you just put the other side on as a mirror image of the right rear.
