2005 500 4x4 starting question
#1
I tried to post this but don't think it took. If it did, I'm sorry that this is a repeat. I'm used to motorcycles that you can shut off the gas. My AC 500 doesn't have a shut-off. So, when I turn it off and don't start it for a week, it doesn't want to start. I assume that since it has a mc carb, it is being fouled by the gas remaining in the bowl and gumming up the jets, etc. I have added stabilizer to the gas, but that doesn't seem to help.
Is there some trick to preventing this or is it just something I have to live with?
I use the AC kinda like a tractor for yard and driveway fixes, etc. It is great for that, but I don't run it every day. I'm not a competitor as I know most of you are, so I ask that you indulge my ignorance and help me out here.
