no it was shot and some the wireing was burn. I put a new one in it and it started and it run but not to good and was not chargeing . Thanks for the reply keep them comeing they are very helpful

 

you need to replace or check the regulator. Im 99% sure its your problem with it keeping a charge. My 300 would loose a charge over night with a new battery also. Basically whats happened is the regulator is fried possibly on the inside(mine showed a little on the outside with a slight burnt wire) and its creating a direct short. With the short,it wont hold a charge nor will it take a charge. if im wrong...well then im wrong. lol. I doubt it though. Ive seen this same thing happen to 4 300s,all were the regulator and when i bought mine it was 80.00 at the dealer.

Have you got regulator replaced yet? Did you repair the wires?

 

no i havent replace it yet. But i have started repairing wires but when i get regulator i will let you all know how it turn out

 

do you know anyone that has the same atv? you could swap the regulator out just to check it. Im still pretty sure thats what it is but if im wrong ill feel pretty bad.

 

Hey dont worry about it I have to start some where but i was thinking it could be the cdi box why it is not runing very well dont know but though i would ask u all to see what yall think
