1999 Arctic Cat 300 4x4 Wheel Question
#1
I just bought a 1999 300 4x4. The wheels are pretty nasty. My buddy gave me a set of wheels and tires that he took off of his 2008 400 4x4 that are like new. Problem is they are a different mount. My wheels locate off of a fit on the hub and his use the acorn style lug nuts to locate.
Is there a company that makes aftermarket wheels that will fit my quad? I have searched but can't find much info. Seems like everything is for newer models.

I believe the wheels are a different size as well?
Check out ITP wheels I believe they make rims for your machine. The AC400 should have a 4-on-115 bolt patern (4 bolts 115mm a part). I do not know what your 300 has.
If my memory is correct you 300 has different sized tires/rims front and rear. Something like 8unch rims in the back and 10 inch in the front or something like that. The AC400 should have 12inch rims and I am pretty sure they will not fit on a 300 with out some modifications like a lift kit and wheel spacers.

ITP made replacement wheels for this bike and recommend the following rim size for front and rear
size offset bolt pattern
12x7 5+2 4/115
Of course any rim fitting these dimensions should work but I would check prior to having the tires mounted.
I have this rim size on my 2006 and it works well for front and rear with the only problem being if you run your tires over inflated on the front. If you do then there is not much protection around where the tire and rim meet as the 8" tire on a 7" rim is pretty much straight walled. We plan on replacing the rims off of the 300 with the OEM from our 2006 AC 400.
Of course the 300 4x4 and 2x4 used different tire sizes and widths of rims. I think the OEM tire sizes are 24x8x12 front and 25x10x12 rear. Ours came with 24's all the way round and we plan on up grading to 25's come summer.
