2011 arctic cat 90cc governor
#1
Hey guys! I'm a 37 yr old ADULT (read other posts that weren't nice for this subject) who owns (won in a drawing) a 2011 90cc and would like to remove the governor (no children) on my machine. Throttle appears to no limits (will depress all the way) but the enging begins cutting out about half throttle to 3/4 throttle. It differs from previous models because it has reverse from the factory and was not an add-on like previous models were. I can only find digrams for a 2010 and not sure if the schematics are the same between the two years. I would like for it to go faster. Any ideas on how to remove the governor(s) on my new toy??? Otherwise i'll just sell it or something. Bought the hubby a suzuki 250 about 7 or 8 years ago and just used to more speed (and shifting,) although it will still be fun for sliding around in the snow as it is. Just want more speed without it sounding sick at full throttle.

Ive looked into getting a friends 50cc and a 90cc atv to move a little better as well. I couldn't find anything to make them move any noticeably faster. Unless you do a whole engine rebuild, but to just add a pipe or air filter or whatever to them just didnt seem to wake them up any. these atvs just aren't built for speed. They re built for young kids to learn on.

did adjust the throttle limiter screw a little (as much as it would go) which did seem to stop the cutting out. Also found out that there are modifications that can be made (certain parts removed) to make it a little faster (he wasn't supposed to tell me anything for liability purposes.) So now looking at trading for a used 250 at a local dealer because I don't think that I will get enough speed out of it. Thanks mudslinginfool!
