Common issue with CATS but a relatively simple fix:
-PULL your battery cables off for about 5 min
-PULL your 30amp accessory fuse (green) for the same amt of time.
reconnect and your should be good to go.
This basically re-sets your ECM. For whatever reason it can loose it's "contact" with the gauge pod. Most likey as a result of a low battery.....and when you crank it.....dead gauge.

Bingo. I live 90 miles from the nearest cat dealer. I called two service departments. One said they replace a lot of displays. The other only said that if I took it in they could sure fix it. Thank you. I hope I have an oportunity to do something for you someday.
