I just bought this bike and after I come back from a ride(long or short) the rear diff vent is leaking gear lube...seems to be abnormal right? I took the nipple off the tube and there is a small hole in it that doesn't look factory. Do any of you cat pros know of this problem?

 

it should not leak any gear lube at all replace the part that has a hole in it and you sould be ready to ride. make sure your gearlube is not milky if it is change gearlube.

 

Also not a bad idea to move the vent bellows up high. I put my rear diff vent under the seat and the front one under the pod.

Make sure the diffs are not over filled.

 

Thanks 07 400 & Fossil...yeah I didn't think that was supossed to have a hole in it & I am going to put it up higher. I appreciate the feedback guys!! Got the bike all back together and slapped some Maxxis Bighorns on it...think I'm ready to ride tommorow and confirm my fix. Thanks again, BorderCat!!
