Hey guys im a little new artic cats. But got 300 4x4 that has no spark. It was runnin find when put it up 2 week ago. So could it be a bad cdi box or what? Any help would be great and thanks for your time.

 

Did you try a new spark plug. it could be a coil.

 

I had issues with my 2000 300 4x4, it sat for awhile, I put a new plug in some sta bull and put a lil gas to the carb an fired right up, Hope you get it going!

 

Did try plug but didnt know how to check the coil any one know how to check it. i it has to do with the spark and not the fuel will a cdi box go bad sitting

 

do you have a ohm meter. take the 2 small wires off coil and take your meter leads and touch where you unkooked the wires you should have low ohms. then touch one of the terimals where the small wires hook up to coil with meter lead and the other one into spark plug cap you should have low ohms. I do not know the electrical specs you may have to call your dealer to get them. on your cdi box or any electrical component can go bad anytime.

Hey fireman, cdi boxes will not just go bad sitting...do you have spark @ the plug when you disconnect the plug wire?

 

No sure dont have any spark at plug. and check all connection they seem to be good . i would think it would be cdi, or mag, or coil but it does have low ohms all are piced high so would like to know before buying anything are thier a way to check the cdi box or the mag. thanks for the help

 

Mine was the fuse in the front, It ran great parked it and some how the fuse was lose caUSING NO SPARK, Check there
