I have a 2006 Artic Cat 650 V2, been hard starting for awhile, now I discovered gas in the crank case, what could be the cause

unfamiliar with your quad, so i apologize if i made a mistake. i don't know if your quad has a carburetor or FI. but typically if gasoline is in the crankcase, i would imagine your float in your carb is stuck open and flooding into the engine.

if carb model, needle and seat, also called float valve are bad in carb, probably need replaced, will last longer if you shut the gas off when not in use

so your visitor message to me said "if fuel injected"....is your quad fuel injected or does it have a regular carburetor? Kerbbirds, do you have any suggestions if it is FI?

His ATV is a carb one. Float is stuck - just do a carb rebuild and call it good.
