I have been contacted by a small ATV Accessory company(Not High Lifter) to get my oppinion on if other Arctic Cat owners would be interested in this. So I figured I would give you guys a chance to answer this.

With Honda, Yamaha, and the Traxter all haveing a 4/110 Bolt pattern I was thinking that I myself could have a machine shop make me some adapters to go from a 4/115 bolt pattern (Arctic Cats) to the way more popular 4/110 bolt pattern. This would make buying aftermarket used wheels ALOT easier, cause we all know that you hardly ever see any Arctic Cat used wheels forsale. If you go in HL's Swap shop it's either Polaris or Honda accesories only. This would also make it possible to borrow the tires of your Honda, Yamaha, and Traxter freinds so you could see if you like that particular tire on your bike. Or if you have 2 bikes(honda and an Arctic Cat) you can always trade wheels/tires with the Honda if say your cat gets a flat and you can't fix it in time for the next time you need the cat. It would also make it possible to order EITHER 4/115 bolt pattern wheels or 4/110 bolt pattern wheels. This helps because since the 4/110 bolt pattern is alot more popular, the accesory companies will stock up alot more on the 4/110 pattern than the much less popular 4/115 pattern of cats.

Another BIG pluss is people wanting to run offset wheels. ITP ONLY has OFFSETS in the 4/110 pattern. There are no 4/115 pattern offset wheels made by ITP, so this is another big plus.

Here is what it will be. The Adapters will have 2 patterns built into them: 4/115 or 4/110. In the 4/115 spot they just space your wheels out slightly(not determined yet on the size,--sugestions?). IN the 4/110 they space your wheels out alittle AND give you a different bolt pattern to choose from. Another plus about this is because of the built in studs(Like HL's design) all you early 2000 and older model owner with out studs to rest your wheels on will not have lugs. This makes changing wheels SOOOOOO much easier you would not believe.

So what do you guys think? You get a wider stance, more stability, true wheel studs for your older model guys, and (THE BEST PART OF ALL) the option of a different bolt pattern.

Now I would like to take credit for it since I have been thinking about this, but because someone else thought about it and confronted me about it I must give him all the credit.

Sounds good and you may be able to get three bolt patterns on one piece.

That would be great! I definitly want to buy a set of those if someone would make them. But they have to be reasonably priced! Let me know when they start making them. And how about a nice, aluminum tread skip plate????

sure man
anything that'll open up these ac's for different options would be a move in the right direction. i think i would like to space out my rears to bring the tracks closer. would these work with lugnuts or just lugbolts? i would think they'd have to be pretty wide to be counter sunk and chamfered, am i on the right track?

Well me and him are discussing the design threw e-mails right now. So far we are thinking that it will avalible for either model. I'm trying to get him to use the factory lug studs/nuts to cut cost. I'm also trying to get him to put the 4/110 and 4/115 pattern on the same spacer, but there if very little room for this. Not sure if we will be able to do this with out weakening the spacer.

Well guys, I'm sorry to say, but there will be no adapters. The company I was working with to get these for you guys went under. After investing $40,000 in the company it sold only $3000 in parts over a 4 month period.

That sucks.

I am sorry to hear about that. The idea was very good about making the wheel adapters so your rims are universal with the other brands out there.
