Default 2000 Arctic Cat 500 4x4

I recently bought a 2000 AC 500 4x4, knowing it had problems. It turns out the connecting rod bearing is bad. I am trying to decide whether or not to fix it, or try to sell it as is. The rest of it is in really good shape, tires plastic, all clean. What is it worth if it is running? Does this machine have other common problems that make it a bad idea to dump money in it? Where could I find a good used Suzuki Motor?

I think they are pretty good machines for the most part. I would just check the ATV over real good and make sure everything else is good and tight and not worn out. If most of it is shot, then its probably not worth rebuilding, but if just the engine needs work and you dont have a ton in it, Id say it would be worth rebuilding if you are going to keep the machine a while. What it would be worth all depends on the shape of the ATV, but I would say $1500-2000 would be average value if its in pretty good shape. You can usually find engines on Ebay, but they are not cheap. I think you would be better to rebuild what you have. If you werent so far I would be interested in buying it as is, but 12 hours is a little too far. haha
