I agree with the other guys-go with the winch. In my opinion, there is no substitute for it's value, of course, I use the hell out of mine. The other thing you have to consider is that AC's are very tough, reliable machines. We bought two 'Cats-mine with the winch, and my Dad's with the extended warranty. On our first trip out, we wished we'd gone with two winches instead of the warranty. I honestly doubt your 'Cat will even need the warranty in the first two years, so basically you'd be giving them the value of the dollar on that one. AC's are tough machines overall, I think you'd be much happier with the winch. Granted, there are lemons in every group, but over the last 5-6 years or so, AC has really made a name for themselves in durability.

Just my opinion, Best of luck with the Decision,

Mike

WOW thats what I was hoping you guys would say. I cant count how many times I have needed a winch. But I was really unsure of the reliability of the Cats. Good input I appreciate it !!

Thanks Triston

winch, no doubt. if you're going to USE that machine, most likley anything that MIGHT go wrong will in the first few months. the machine is pretty bullitproof, no electric gizmos to short out, hehehe. just break it in properly.
