Default Bought a new 300 DVX - anybody else got one?

I started out looking for a good used four wheeler for the kids and/or grandkids to ride, but ended up buying a brand new 300 DVX instead. The dealer made me an offer I couldn't refuse! LOL! I haven't had it out on the trail yet, but just riding around the yard I'm pretty impressed with the performance of this machine. It's really snappy, handles well, rides well, I really like it. I've got an idea this might be "grampy's toy" on occasion too!

FYI, the dvx is the same as the kymco mongoose 300. parts are the same. I believe the motor even says kymco on the top of the head! They are great quads! I believe Kymco even was the winners ride of the 2009 youth nationals (90cc)! Their not cheap jap quads like some say, their just entry level priced!

I couldn't log in earlier today or I would have posted earlier. I was going to say the same info as bosox gave. The ac 300dvx has a Kymco engine and they are quality built engines. They are not the cheap china crap, they are made in taiwan. You don't have to worry about reliability.

Back in the day Kymco was affiliated with honda for awhile.

I have a dvx400 and love it, although it is still an arctic cat it uses the suzuki ltz400 engine. Its really the same thing has a ltz400 / kfx400 minus the plastics. My point is, you don't have to worry about arctic cat atv's they don't use junk.

I rode the 300DVX quite a bit last night and now I'm even more impressed with it! I can't get over how well the suspensions works for a machine in this price range. My son had a 250EX Honda, which is about the same price as the 300DVX, and as far as I'm concerned there's no comparison between the two - the Cat is night and day better than the Honda. I knew there is an Arctic Cat/Kymco connection and I must say it works well!

I've been riding Arctic Cat snowmobiles since 1968 and I'm still riding and racing them in vintage events. I like having a Cat four wheeler setting there with my Cat snowmobiles, plus my son has a new 450DX wheeler parked in my garage too, which is another impressive machine!

Yeah I'll have to get some pictures of it. I put some wheel spacers on it yesterday. 1 inch on the back and 30mm ( about 1 1/4" or so?) on the front. They give it an aggressive stance, and it feels more stable in the turns. It looks good that way!

The first pic is the 300 DVX, the second pic is the 300 DVX and my son's 450 XC. There both pretty nice rides!

Can anyone tell me if there are any aftermarket sprockets available for these machines? I put a set of mud tires on the DVX that are 22" OD. and it could use a little lower gearing now. I could go either way, smaller on the trans or bigger on the axle, depending on what is available.

You will probably have to look it up under Kymco maxxer 300. They are a littler harder to find since the manufacturer name isn't as common as suzuki, honda, etc..

I had 2 DVX250s, which are identical to the DVX300s. I found
an aftermarket front sprocket with one less tooth, but it required
modification to the retainer. It was made for a Polaris 500. It
certainly helped, as I was converting these quads for utility use.

I just sold my second Kymco Mongoose 300, which is a very nice
sporty quad. Unlike any others, it has THREE brake master cylinders,
one for each hand brake, and one for the foot brake. Parking brake
was the RIGHT hand lever.
