My new ac 500 is a great machine steers easy no ps rides great goes over trees rocks and creeks with ease. But what is with assembly quality. I have spent time with rad shrouds exhaust heat sheilds vibrating rear brake mas cyl empty cut in hose wiring cables loose . Am I the only one. I really like this machine,is it the same with other brands. I have owned older brp and polaris which were better when new. I am using almost 2.5 imp gals. In 50 miles is this normal, my 800 pol took 2. Is this normal.

ya its a great machine love mine.. had the same issue with noisy chattering brakes. got rid of that noise by doing a good burnishing on the brakes. The rear i had to lightly apply and drive for 100 or so feet and has been good since. My rad cover is rattling as well how did you get rid of that one? only other problem i had was a loos pin in one of the connectors that they missed during the pdi. im roughly getting over 400km to a tank of fuel.. probably closer to 500. never tracked it but even in a 120km trip i only used 1/4 tank.

best upgrade you can do for it is get rid of those stock tires. just went up one size and got these.

Does anyone else have any reasonable input about 2014 500 mileage I was thinking I would get 100 miles and still have fuel left also the machine has trouble making 40 mph, I am only 200lb

Zrock 400kms to a tank would be 60 miles to the gal that would make the honda riders drool.

hehe.. as far as your speed goes.. check your rev limiter on your handlebar thumb control maby they set it to tight? if that does not work i would take it back and have em look at it. between fuel usage and speed you may be running way to rich.

My 2013 Core 500 is very noisy- has a pronounced rattle coming from the engine/trans area at most speeds/rpm's-- but then it goes away at other settings. Haven't tried to diagnose it yet....
