winch mounts
i just bought a 05 polaris sportsman, and i am trying to find a winch mount that fits it. everyone i see does not look like it will fit on mine. i found some that they say will fit mine. they all look like they will not fit. anybody got a 400 like mine that can help me out.

Its just a crap shoot buying a cheap winch. Many of them do have quality components, just takes a little research to find out which one could be a diamond in the rough. Honestly, I would probably buy one from my local atv dealer, they usually have pretty good deals on accessories. That way if I do get a defective one, I can easily return it and get a replacement instead of emailing someone and hoping to get a response and then having to ship the junk one back etc.
I am doing my homework,, as of now,, looking at travlier from Tractor supply, there is one at azmon , superwinch brand for 120 bucks reg tag is at 166 bucks.

i have the 2500lb and a 3500lb from these guys. Great winch and great customer service. Had a issue with one of the steel cables on one and they sent new synth line out the same day. These are USA prices but they are out of Canada

winch mount
i am looking for a winch mount that will fit my polaris 400. all the ones i looked at do not look like they will fit. i don't want to order one and have to send it back. anybody on here have a 2005 400 that can help me.

I have a H.F. 2500 on my 01 300 it took a special mounting plate but works quite well and the handle bar mount is by my left thumb , it also has a cable switch that I have never found a use for . on the other hand on my 360 kaw I used a 1500 cheepy and had to use the mounting plate that came with the 1'st one as it didn't come with one
