Default 2018 Alterra DVX 90 (Textron stickers)

If the video does not post, I can provide pics.

My daughter was riding her DVX 90 around in the yard when one of the front wheels came off. Looked at the assembly and the cast hub had cracked at all of the stud holes. I called the dealer. They told me they’d send any new parts needed under warranty. After removing the rest of the wheels, I noticed the back end was fine (different design due to the single disc brake), but the opposite front end hub had cracked at every stud hole as well.

The dealer told me this is the second instance of a wheel falling off this year due to a hub failure.

I contacted Textron/Tracker. They are looking into it.

I want to get your thoughts on what to do and what to expect.

I’m not thrilled about the idea of receiving the same part number hubs, installing them and crossing my fingers. Ours could’ve been part of a faulty batch... But I don’t know. Kinda have to assume the worst.

Could have been a casting issue but i would be thinking it was more of someone over torquing the studs at some point maby the dealer during assembly having their torque wrench set for a bigger machine or just using a impact.. The torque on those is not very high i do everything by hand and just snug em up and give em a little more.. Can am was having the same issue for a while they had the wrong torque setting and dealers were over torquing the studs and things were braking off

Great insight. I agree fully that this is a highly likely situation. Give a second set of the same hubs a shot?

This was the hub that completely let go.

This was the other front end hub. Each stud hole is cracked like this.

Three of the four studs that I was able to recover from the side where the wheel fell off.
