i am battling a no spark issue on my trv 400.. Its a 2007 so i don't thing it has the magnet issue. i replaced the coil and spark plug, also gaped the plug correct. No good.. Is there a way to test the cdi?

When i test the blue and white wire off the cdi to the coil and ground my black lead i am getting negative voltage which is weird and when i kill power it bleeds down. Has anyone seen this issue before? why would it show a negative voltage. yes my leads are hooked up right. when i test power of batter it is 12.9 volts so i no thats correct. all the fuses are good.

Where should i look next?
