Finally! :)

Sorry to waste a post for such an "uneventful" topic, but I just couldn't resist. I'M FINALLY DONE! Graduated, finished with school FOREVER! Been one hell of a week last week finishing all the finals and such, but it's over, I'm out and can't believe it's finally over. Man, I honestly believe going to college and sticking it out for the full term, actually getting the degrees was the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life. Damn glad it's over with.
So, for those who commented on the carb trick either with JKB's suggestions with turning the screw, or Minehunters jet swap, thank you for the advice. Sorry I didn't get back sooner, been swamped with class stuff. I'll be turning 25 on sunday the 20th, then leaving bright and early monday morning for my property for the entire week, and the memorial day weekend. Should get in lots of riding, along with a lot of work. So, as long as I can figure out which way to work the screwdriver (
) I'll be tearing into the carb in the next few days if it stops raining. Be interesting to see what happens, if I don't screw anything up that is! heh heh heh.
Oh, for those who are interested, take a look at the "broken rubi" post in the Honda forum. Man, that sounds complicated! Glad AC doesn't have any computers on our quads, hope it stays that way.
Anyway, thanks for the carb info, I'll be trying it out shortly. Best of luck, and happy trails,
Mike

Yo dude,
I meant to tell you earlier congrats on finishing school. Jesus man, done with school and the summer in front of you? Sounds like a PARTY! Just try not to party while your riding! The end result isn't usually pretty, and that is the voice of experience!
Anyway, happy trails, talk to ya later.
Rick

Congrats dude. I graduated three years ago at age 22 and felt the same way. You will feel weird for about a year or so like you are supposed to be in class or forgot to do something. I still do! Of course I'm a teacher now so it always feels like I'm in class. Good luck out there. Enjoy your hard earned success!

Cowboy,
Congrats on finishing school. I finished mine at 46 years old, so I consider you ahead of the game.
My advice is use your education and don't let it waste. From listening to your post now for a while it seems like you have lots of common sense also. That will also work in your advantage. You have a long wonderful life ahead of you, Lord Bless You.

Cowboy a pretty smart man told a group of us at out graduation that there are three phases to life. The learning, the earning, and the ability to enjoy the fruits of the first two. That advice is about thirty years old for me and it still rings true. You have just somewhat finished you education. I say somewhat because in todays economy technology changes very fast, you will need to keep up.
Congratulations on the completion of step 1. I personally think this is the hardest step to recover from if you don't get enough education to seperate yourself in the earnings crowd. This step is also the hardest to go back to at a later point in life to finish.
Cowboy, and now for the earnings step and possibly a few more toys!!! You should be very proud of your accomplishment!

Congrats Cowboy!!!
Someone told me right after I graduated from College that the only real thing you learn while in school & continue to use later in life is "the ability to learn"! This turned into great advice, you will continue to learn the rest of your life if you allow yourself, only in a different environment than a classroom.
Have fun this week!

Irichard-
Hey, haven't seen you in a while, how've you been? Hope everything is going well up there in Alaska!
THANKS TO EVERYBODY for the kind words of encouragement, I really appreciate that. You guys are all right about continuing to learn. That's great with me, I enjoy learning new things all the time-I just hate doing it in school and being tested on it! Man, some of the things they give you on an exam I swear they pull out of their own _sses-just whatever they dream up that morning, some of it is absolutely absurd, having nothing to do with what we had been studying, or what we were really supposed to be tested on.
Can't hardly wait, I stripped the trailer down last night, put on a coat of that herculiner bed liner stuff, will put a second coat on this afternoon. Soon as it dries, I'm loading up, heading to the property for about a week and a half! Lots of riding, lots of work, should be a great time! BTW-that Herculiner stuff is a great product, just looked at the trailer a second ago, it did a great job. A second coat is needed, as it was dark, I went a little too light, but it still looks great, formed a great bond, looks like it will work just great-keep the gravel from chipping the paint and rusting anymore. I'll let you guys know how it holds up after my trip to the ranch and back, there will be a ton of gravel roads up there, so it will get a good workout.
Best of luck to everybody,
Mike

Cowboy,
I have been really busy for a couple of months, glad to see a lot of the old group still on the forum. Lots of new guys too.
We have been already planning for our hunt in the fall. Thats almost as fun as the hunt. Probably will have new pictures again after this next hunt. Are you going to be hunting Elk this year. Probably a crazy question, right?
Exciting to see all these new bikes coming out. They just keep getting better, looks like.
Our snow is all gone at the lower elevations, so time to ride.
Well you take care of yourself and good riding.
Larry
