when i purchased my warn winch i got a few parts that i didn't use. these parts were intended for use on the 300 or 400 to stiffen the front end where the winch mounts. i took a couple of clamps from a husqaverna (spelling) motorcycle's handlebars and secured them to my rear rack. i then took some 1/2" x 1" aluminum bar stock approx. 8" long and drilled 7/16" holes in both ends. from the warn kit, i utilized the cross tube with the two flanges and threaded ends which composed the actual guard. i then mounted it with four 7/16" bolts. it looks like a kind of drop bumper. i hope it works.

Brakes? Who needs those? Sounds like a cool contraption. Send me some regular prints and I'll scan them to my web page or just wait till June when we go riding and I'll use the digital camera.

Hey Tex, it's real easy to put pics up on the internet. I used Yahoo myself, but there is another site that seems to work pretty good as well-can't quite remember what it is now. Anyway, if you go the Yahoo route, just click on the "photos" link, sign yourself up as a new user, then click on "add new photo's" From there, click the "browse" link to access your main computer, which would be the disk in the "A" drive. Find the right file, or "picture" you want to add, then highlight it, click OK. It will automatically take it for you. Then go ahead and title or give a description of your shot if you want, click the "medium" size towards the bottom, that way it will come out on your screen as one picture, instead of having to scan both sideways and up and down to see it. Oh, and don't forget to click the "public" viewing option, that way we can all see your nice new pretty pics! -it uses the private option as the default, so only you would be able to see them.

Then, if you want to get fancy and add a clickable link for your pics, you'll have to get somebody else to explain that one! heh heh heh. Boner helped me do it, but I honestly can't remember how he said to do it now. Maybe he, or one of the other guys that know can tell you how to do that one.

Anyway, best of luck, and get crackin man, we're waiting to see that purrrrrty 'Cat!

Mike
