Just wondering,if dealers have 2001's in stock, and the 2002's are due in 4 week's,will the dealer's sell the 01's at the lowest possible price or will they send them back to their supplier?

Will shipping price (back to supplier)of unsold 01's be absorbed by dealer or supplier?

Should i wait 2 week's to see if the 01's drop in price?.

P.S. I have made a few post's to this group and recieved many informative responces. I guess i have made my decision to buy an AC,now i'm just trying to find out when is the best time to purchase a 01 or even a 02.I have noticed within the last 2 week's (in my area)that prices are starting to gradualy drop (5%).

I'm talking about a 250 4x4 cc or 300 4x4 cc.

 

My dealer told me that right now the dealers are getting an incentive from the factory to sale the 01's once the 02's hit the floors then all the incentives are gone. So it is better for you to buy now vs. waiting. If you want an 02 then wait if you want an 01 then get it before the incentives are gone.
I don't think that once a dealer takes inventory they can send it back to the factory. It is up to them to sale the quad. I just don't see from a financial standpoint how this can be done. Once the quad leaves the factory they count the sale even though the quad has only been shipped to the dealers. Having all the dealers reutrn all unsold models would create a major loss on the financials of Arctic Cat. Stock Holders wouldn't be happy!!! I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

 

There is up to a $350 dollar rebate on all 01 models right now. On the 02 models you have the option of a $69 warn 2500 winch or $250 in Genuine Arctic cat accessories. The factory will not accept any returns of any 01 models so if you are looking for a deal, now is the time to buy.
