I was just in the Polaris forum and people were talking about how ugly the Arctic Cat's are. Gee, I guess beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. I have always thought that the Arctic Cat is the best looking wheeler out there and dresses up realy nice with aftermarket equipment. Not to bash Polaris but that big **** on the handel bars looks ugly to me. and the racks and bumpers on the Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki's look wimpy compared to the Arctic Cat 500. This post is not ment to bash other bikes I like the ride of the Polaris and Honda and the 650 kawasaki V-twin looks like it will be a great bike and if I was to get a new bike this year I would consider getting the Grzizly.

I couldn't agree more. I think it was Andy who was talking about how the light on the handlebars on one of the new quads out now closely resembled Daffy Duck when he gets his beak blown off. I thought that was pretty clever, definately a good match too! I've always thought those handlebar lights on the SP's especially looked like some alien space pod thing, but since Andy mentioned Daffy Duck, I like that analogy a whole lot better! I guess it goes back to the older style Chevy's and such. I personally think the old style 70's-early 80's style Chevy pickups are the best looking Chev's out there. You know, the old "box" style that screams I'm big, tough, powerful and if you don't get the hell out of my way, I'm going to run right over the top of you! You know, kind of what your 'Cat looks like! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] You're right about the racks-the AC's are definately the best. As for overall looks, I think the Honda's look better than the SP's myself. The Grizz looks like a Viper (snake) or something like that with the round headlights. Then you get into the sport bikes-man those things all look weird to me-a bunch of giant bugs or robotic go-go gadget things screaming around all over the place like chickens with their heads cut off.

You're exactly right, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I get a ton of comments of how my 'Cat looks, everybody wants to know what it is, who makes it, etc. Then some guys say man that things is awesome, but it's the "ugliest" thing I've ever seen. To me, it looks awesome. Very tough, mean as hell, kind of like a mini-tank-looks like it will go anywhere and everywhere I want (and it does!) Then, when you add in all my guns, hell, it could destroy things like tank too (within reason of course) heh heh heh. At any rate, a quads appearance does nothing to it's 4 wheeling ability. Hell, even though I don't particularly like the looks of the SP's, does that mean they are a "bad" quad? Hell no! It's a great machine, I just don't like the way it looks, that's all. I don't understand these guys who claim they'll never ever be caught dead on an AC because it is the ugliest thing they've ever seen. Makes no sense to me-I didn't realize atving and riding quads was a big fashion contest anyway???
