It works very well. It keeps the engine RPM"s up in the power band when using low range and it's great. In High range on an old loging road I was actually able to pull up to and keep up with a Sportsman while going up hill. The curves in the road made it difficult to pass but he couldn't pull away like in the past. On level ground I don't think it would happen, but being able to get a few more revs while going up hill was the difference IMO. To put it bluntly: I LIKE IT.

Thanks for the review there Minehunter! Did you happen to notice any extra fuel consumption running at higher revs??? Probably not much with 60 miles I would guess. My Dad and I put on 45 yesterday out over some really nasty trails. Looks like I got the 'Cat all fixed up real well-not a problem at all, and with a full suspension workout, everything held together very well-I did good! heh heh heh. I think I'll try your new tranny trick this week hopefully. Of course, I need to get a job here one of these days! Those people with the computer deal keep saying "just be patient, the wheels are turning very slowly, we're almost ready for you to come up" Well hell, it's been two months now and I don't have any income! I can't "be patient" for much longer, as I can't very well tell my Child Support bill or vehicle loan to "just be patient".

Oh, you might be interested to know-member that backfiring problem I had asked you about a LONG time ago? I said it happened when running full throttle, then letting off immediately... Well, while heading back to the truck, we parked at what is normally my "elk camp" location. There is a sharp hairpin curve that comes around to a short strait stretch just before camp. Before, I'd nail it, go flying back down this strait sretch to camp, letting off before I'd get there so I wouldn't pass it, that's when the backfire would occur. I had a really hard time getting it to hit 45 mph in the relatively short distance. Well, I tried it yesterday in the same spot, same type of conditions, etc., not only did she get up to just barely over 50 mph, when I let off immediately, SHE DID NOT BACKFIRE! I think like you said, the jet was the key reason for that-it's actually able to use all the fuel it's getting, rather than being "force fed" more than it can use.

Anyway, thanks again for the tip, and hopefully I can try your tranny trick this week, though won't be able to ride again for about two weeks (have my boy every other weekend, he loves to ride but doesn't like traveling several hours to get somewhere-only 2 1/2!) I don't know, maybe a new AC 90 in a few years???? heh heh heh

Take care Man, Thanks Again!

Mike
