i'm not dead though it seems i did since i have not posted in an eternity. it has finally rained here in texas and i've been doin' some muddin' and i have discovered that more ground clearance is not necessarily better because, if you do get stuck, you just sink deeper before high centering on the skid plate. (dakotart: duey got his polaris fixed finally and he is ready to go riding once again. i've been ribbing him about only having half a quad and he is prepared to show us how his true 4x4 can crush our cats; however, he doesn't have a winch and we have digital cameras...this time we are going to catch him and post him all over this forum.)

22" of rain in a week at or place in Edna. 13" in Bastrop. We went out there last weekend and boy did we have fun. I on the other hand needed more ground clearance. I got stuck/hi centered on some serious sand/swamp. Duey can bring his "tru 4 wheel stuck" if he wants. Go to my page below and check out some of the new action photos. I don't know when I'll be able to go again. Coaching is a 7 day a week gig down here. Today was the first day I got home before 6pm this week and it is Saturday. Sunday will only be a 1pm to 6pm day but it is still work that I don't get paid for and am expected to do if I want to move up to a High school job next year. Friday was go to work at 7am teach all day till 4pm scurry home and eat/shower and go back to the stadium and scout two teams till 10 pm and then go to the high school and edit/copy film with two other coaches till 3 am and then go home and sleep till 7 am and do it all over again at 8am Saturday. It will be that way till November. Then Basketball season starts. I hate basketball with a passion. My classes are also huge this year. This also seems to be the year of "I'm going to tell my mom on you>" type kids. I always say "Does it lookl like I'm wearing a shirt that says'I'm afraid of your mom' on it? Moms don't scare me." They hate that. Why am I rambling about school? That's right...This is one of those moments where you talk to yourself but let everyone else hear! Anyhow, I am going to take another trip out there in the next couple of weeks while it is still really wet. Camping in Novemeber! Campfire and beer!

dakotart,

just when i thought my business and the economy were going to improve...

just hang in there and go with the flow. a november ride sounds quite appealing pullaris boy will be happy to hear about that. we may have another rider coming with us. his name is willie sneed and he rides a sportsman 500. his family is from edna and he knows where your place is.

best of luck to ya

ryan

Sounds like a plan to me. October may be a better plan so we don't distrub the wildlife in November. A Sportsman 500 and a Magnum 500... sounds like fun to me. Keep in touch and let me know how things are going out there. Bachelor party in November, are you interested?

Laters.
