I can buy a 1500 superwinch from my cousin for $60. Are there mounting kits specifically for this winch or can I buy a generic one that will work for all. Also the switch is on the side of the winch can I buy something to move it up to my rack.

 

There are superwinch mounting plates, but not sure what you mean about the switch. Can you explain it better? Are you sure the switch you are talking about isn't the freespool?

 

Yes there are specific mounting kits made for your setup. Also the power switch mounted on the end can be moved by buying the remote switch mount kit available from Superwinch. (If you are talking about the turn style switch) You could convert to the rocker style (if you dont already have that style)but they seem to fail sooner than most. A better idea would be to convert it over to a solenoid actvated setup but it is a bit more costly. but far more reliable.
