HELLO EVERYONE

I need to replace the brake pads on my y2k 500 auto. They are getting a little spongy, My question is do I need three sets of pads and are they all the same or is it left, right, rear? Also where is the best place to get good brakes at the cheapest price?

Thanks SLY

Sly-
Was just down at the dealers checking in on my pads. He recommended changing all three out at the same time, just to avoid the fronts being replaced and in good condition, then having to change out the rears again later. Remember, your foot brake on the rear is a separate brake all together, utilizing an entirely separate set of pads. Your hand brake lever controls both left and right brakes in the front, and your single rear brake as well. These will be the three sets you will need. I forget the part number, but they were all the same part, and it didn't matter where you put them. Cost was $10 and some change ($10.46 if I remember right???), so I don't know of anywhere cheaper than that.

Hope that helps, and best of Luck!

Mike

Cowboy is right on. I wish I could find cat brake pads for $10. Their $20 down here. Hell buy about 6 sets for me and I'll pay the shipping and come out ahaed.
