i goin' to mount a third light in front of my speedometer to increase the range of my lights. i'm a little stumped on just how to wire the light. should i just wire it directly to the battery and install a switch inline or should i tap into the existing wiring and install a switch inline to allow me to turn off the spot when i want to. i think i will make the connections quick disconnect so i can remove the light whenever i tackle rough terrain.

any suggestions on alternate methods are very welcome.

thanks,

I connected mine by tapping into the stock head lights and switch. My lights come on with the high-beam switch. I installed a inline fuse and a double throw/double pole connecter so that my handle bar lights only came on with the high-beams and the stock lights were on with both high and low. If you are interested I could pull up my wiring diagram and email it to you.
