I have been trying to find out how much the weight of the tires on the back of my AC 250 4x4. The tire are Titan 489 AT's 24-9-12. I have looked on several web sites including Highlifter.com but they do not list this tire in their spec charts. What I'm trying to do is compare how much heavier a Titan 589 m/s 25-10-12 would be. I'm wanting to move the 24" 489's to the front and mount some 25" 589's on the back. How much of a power decrease would this make. If it will make a big difference, I probably want do it. I normally ride around in low range because of the type of area I ride in, so it has good pulling power even for a 250 while in low range.

By the way, the 240 4x4 was designed to use a shorter tire on the front that the back has. A lot of people has questioned me about this and said that 4x4's should have the same height tire front and back and while I'm aware of this, this ATV was geared in a way to use the shorter tire on the front. It currently has a 23-8-12 on the front, so I'm wanting to go up 1 inch at both ends by moving the 24's from the back and putting 25's on the rear.

I have this exact setup on my sons 250 4x4, it works great. There isn't any noticable power loss. It even picked up a mph on top end (47 with gps on flat ground) it does slow down quite a bit going up hill. The steering isn't as twitchy either. I would like to have the same setup in the 589 though.
