I was riding with a friend and he had a Suzuki 250 (same set up as my 300) that had a lever to put the front in and out of diff. lock.

How can I do this to my 2002 AC 300 4x4??

Hi Arcticstomper, welcome to the connection. There is some more knowledgeable people on here than me that can confirm this for you, but I'm pretty sure on the 2002 models AC changed the front differential from the Suzuki design that could be locked to their own design that can't be locked. On the older model 250-300cc all you had to do is adjust the shifting linkage carefully to get all three 2wd, 4wd, and 4wlocked. If no one confirms what I've said try doing a search in the AC forum on "locking diff" or something like that and look for some post from Boner (AC GURU). I have the AC500 and there is no easy way to lock it like the older 250-300 machines.

Cummins is correct the AC 2002s have a different front diff. The older 250s and 300s have the lockable front diff. I saw a rumor that AC will start producing quads with lockers for 2003 models.

Well, what has been said so far is true. About the 2003 locker, I heard about it from a VERY reliable source, but his source is an Arctic Cat Rep. that I have been VERY less than impressed with.
