Well, spent about 2 hours with my dealer today performing surgery on my Cat. It's not so bad, and should cost ~$300.

Here's some pics of the Cat before surgery:

Side shot
Steering squished
Front shot, notice front, right paw

Here's some pics of the Cat during surgery (no that's not rust, it's called Georgia red clay, and a dirty kitty):

Luckilly this little upper A-arm support bracket was the weekest link and not my C/V's, steering, A arms, shafts, etc
Cat's always look funny without their fur
Here's the stuff we have to order (forgot to put the master cylinder in there (notice that the steering stem, should be straight, ouch)

Well, considering the steepness, the number of endo's, and the severity of the stop, this is not bad. NOT BAD AT ALL. Talk about rugid.. The list of parts we are having to order are:
* Steering stem
* Right front mud flap
* Right rear floorboard flap
* Speedometer
* Gear indicator plastic cover
* Master cylinder

Should cost ~ $300 or less, and I am doing most of the labor, with help from my dealer (he's pulling out the upper A-arm bracket). Will keep you uptodate on her recovery and rehabilitation. Meowwww. Merry Christmas all and have a Happy New Years!

You are not alone a buddy of mine rolled his 02 400 down a hill with only 7 miles on the odometer. I know you are glad that it doesn't have a fancy watch and speedo up there that would've doubled the repair cost. That isn't too bad I've seen worse. Good luck on getting it back together soon, sounds like you also have a good dealer. That can make all the difference in the ATV ownership experience. MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you.

At Braswell Mountain in Georgia. We were going along the powerlines there (hilling), and came across a part where we couldn't go further on trail (huge tree fell across trail, unwinchable), and in trying to go below there was too many falling trees. So, I was being stubborn trying to find us a way around to continue on. It was steep with lots of wet leaves and lots of trees, boy hine'sight is 20-20. Oh well, learned a good lesson, I'm fine, the Cat will be just fine, and it's not going to cost too much (rather of spent the money on more Arctic Cat gear and accesories though).

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all.

Love it. Yes it does have a dual range tranny. The low option makes for some serious hill climbing (not cliffs), hauling/towing/working, and Engine Braking.
