Does anyone know if there is a Clymers Manual for the 2002 Cats? Or, is there an Arctic Cat Service manual that is available for a reasonable price? I think someone mentioned it here previously, but I cannot find it using the search engine.

Thanks.

The factory service manual goes for about $45.00, from the dealer. It covers all models from 250 2wd to the 375, and 500 models for the year 02. I have one of these, I've seen better but not to bad. I don't think Clymer has an AC manual, but not positive. I've got one for the 98 500 & 454, that I would sell if someone wanted it. Check ebay too, they have them from time to time.

MUDCAT:

Did you mount your GPS on your cat? If so where and how? Also what kind of GPS do you have? I have a Garmin GPS II+ and it works great but I want to map out my trails this spring. Did you buy a mounting bracket? Thanks.

I have a Garmin etrex, works pretty good but I would like to have mapping capabilities. I don't have a mount yet but have been looking, the best deals so far have been at gpscity.com. I am going to get a ram mount, I think.

Try this gpscity

I just ordered the RAM mount U Bolt for my quad. I think it will work good on my front rack rather than the handle bars.

I just purchased an etrex Legend maping GPS. Very impressive. I found www.gpsnow.com to have slightly better prices. I'm looking for garmin maping software can anyone help me? bbertram where did you get your ram mounts? Also, what degree of powerloss do you experience with the 26 X 12's?

I have the mapping software for the Garmin GPS, it works great. This spring I'm going to map all the trails out with my GPS and try and arrange a poker derby. I got my RAM mounts at www.gpscentral.ca, they ship to the states too.

The powerloss is noticeable. You need to drive the quad in 1st gear high when the snow gets deep, same with the mud I'm sure. But you need to get the motor revving to make the tires spin in 2nd gear. With the stock tires, 2nd gear is what I always use in the deep snow unless you get into the major deep snow then the quad starts to bog down abit. I kind of wish I got 26x10 for the rear too, oh well. The tires are great in the swamp though, what a difference over stock tires, you go through twice as much mud and when you get stuck you better have friends with quads the same size as yours.
