Assuming you've disconnected the A-arms & tie rods, would you be able to pop out the axles from the differential on a 2001 AC500? Will it take a good hard tug to pop 'em out or does it require any special tools? I'd hate for the drive shaft to pop out of the CV joint rather than from the diff when giving it a hard pull. It's probably similar to servicing a front wheel drive car, but I never had a front wheel drive car to work on!

Thanks in advance!

Just push the axle in and then give it a good swift pull, it should pop right out. Just the reverse going back together. Good luck.

on my 500 front cv joint i have a big snap ring in it to keep the cv joint from separating. when you take the boot off look closly inside and you should be able to see the snap ring. also if you have some rubber gloves i would recomend wearing them the grease that is in the cv joint is a pain to get off your hands.
