Does anyone run 28" in DD's or Gators with out the lift? And what do the 28" DD's and Gators actually measure up to?

 

Rob, I run the 27" DD XT's they run about 26.25 inches.. So, based on that, I'd add a half inch or so for the 28's in the DD. It is my understanding that the Gator runs slightly bigger than the DD so be aware of that. The 28 inch DD would have fit fine on my 375 AC 4x4. That's probably what I'll buy when I wear out the 27's. But keep in mind the 12 inch wide DD were too wide for the rear end of my bike. I had to go with 27x10x12 for all four tires. This saved me some weight and the 10" width DD's are actually 10 - 10.25 inches wide so I gained an inch over the chinsy stock 10 inchers which actually measured about 8.75 - 9 inches wide.

The Gators are an awesome mud tire and the DD's are an accomplished mud tire and an awesome all around tire. If you're not running tons of mud I'd go with the DD's.
