Top Speed????

What would the top speed on a 375 4x4 be? My 02 seems to run about 45 mph. Does this seem about right? If so is it possible to get more out of it? I know cats aren't built for speed I was just curious. Over all this is a great machine. I can't believe some of the stuff I've gone through with it. Thanks in advance.

From what I've heard 45 is about right. You can get more speed if you buy some aftermarket stuff for it like a pipe or a high-flow air filter. I don't know how easy it is to get these things for ACs; I've heard there's more products out there for Polaris and Hondas. I'm sure there's some stuff out there though.

What the heck. My buddy who runs a Cat dealer was telling me a 375 will out run the 400 and 500 Cats and will hit high 50's minimum. (In fact he said a customer told him it'll run over 60 w/lilght rider etc) At the time I beleived him as I have heard & read the Suzi Eiger which is the same engine (although I think its lighter) would run 55 pretty easily.
What gives? Is he full of it?

Hey Pat, Small world. You being from Sayre and me from Athens. Where do you do most of your riding? My 375 is fairly new only 55 miles, so I haven't held it wide open for a long period, 1/4 mile or so tops, if that. So far I'm real happy with it. Did you gain anyhting after it was broke in? I'm glad to hear you can hang with the other quads. I hate being left behind. Maybe I'll see you on the trails sometime. Later.

Hey... I live in New Jersey but my parents live in East Smithfield, Pa. I plan to take my cat up when I visit them within the next couple weeks. Fill me in on where there are legal places to ride. Mt. Pisqua? or some other area. I was going to ask the Polaris dealer in Towanda for places to ride. But maybe you guys know some "off the beaten path" areas.

Oswald, I'm new to the sport, so I don't know allot of places to ride.
I've just been riding the hills around my house. I did hear that there are some legal trails at Round Top park. That's about 10 to 15 minutes from East Smithfield. The park is located near the Greens Landing sunoco. I'm sure if you stopped there and asked directions someone could point you in the right direction. I haven't had a chance to try them yet. Maybe Pat knows if they're any good. Good luck. I did manage to squeeze 51 mph out of the 375 today. Still climbing.....slowly, but I had to back out of it.
