Finally today I made it to actually ride some AC's. My heart was set on the 375 auto but the dealer asked me to ride the 300 4x4 and it was way more fun for me. I'm about 5'2 and weigh 105 lbs. This ride fit my body better and much easier to steer. I didn't think I'd like the manual but I like it alot. So you 300 owners like it? I'm looking to climb in the mountains. No fast riding, just out for mountain hikes. It's my first buy. I like the ride better than the Yamaha. Feels better to me. Any input is good. Thanks. Ami

I have just bought a 375 auto I love it I am quit a bit bigger than you ,but I didn,t want to shift. I said to my self all I wanted to do is drag deer out of the woods but since I have had the machine I have put over 200 miles on it injust a couple of months. I,m also riding faster than Ithought I would too. Enjoy your new CAT you love it.

Thanks, I did lots of research on the 375. It's great just the 300 was more fun for me cuz it was so much easier to steer. Have a ball. I can't wait.

I'm sure living out in colorado you have alot more oportunities to ride over uneven terain. also having asmaller machine will allow you to get to even tighter places. Even one inch makes a difference sometimes. My friend with a 500 bombdier. He had acouple places he had to go around.ENJOY!!!!!!!!

That's a good point. I went over there today and looked at the AC. See the guy is having problems getting in the 375s. He was suppose to get them days ago. Then didn't. Anyway I got more confused again cuz I think too much. He told me if he can get them in this week, he'd take me up the mountains on both so I can really see which one I like best. So I'm going to try to make it til next weekend to make a choice. Just to see side by side on my terrain how it would be probably would be good. Sounds like you're happy with yours. They are a great machine.

if you want power, the 300 has more than you will ever need. that triple range tranny lets you have soo much torque you can pull a polaris-tub 700 around if you want to.

I will agree. If you are smaller the 300 is better for handling. I am 6'3"/250lbs so I can toss my 375 around. But my wife is 5'1" and she felt overwhelmed by the height of the 375. So she also purchased the 300.

The only thing that I don't like is the shifter on the 300. We hacked off the rear lever and put a rubber hose around the front lever so it can be shifted with her toe. But the rod bends a little when shifting so you do need to lift a little hard to get it to shift. But she likes it alot better than the heal shifter.

Ride on!!

Thanks for all your input. Did your wife feel the steering was more difficult??? The handlebars are a little bigger I noticed. But I wondered if the steering made a difference.

Yes the 300 turns much easier than the 375. Both machines are almost identical in size. But I believe it has to do with the fact that the 300 is a little over 2" lower than the 375. So the A-arms are parallel with the ground, when the 375 and up are angled up.

It seems the 375 pushes a lot more on the sidewalls of the outer front tire to turn.

Please see my other post in "Okay does anyone own both 375 auto and 300 AC's".
