I was wondering if or what is the best jet kit to get and if you really feel the power differance with a stock exhaust. Also if anyone has put a new gasket in the side case cover and if it was a big job,,did you have ant trouble getting the gear shifter off and sealed after the job was done.I like to do these types of jobs myself. Thanks for any suggestions.I have a 2001 500 man with 3000 miles and working great.

I just replaced my transfer case gasket. It was easy. Just be sure to have the bike on its side when removing the case so parts dont go flying. The shift shaft needed to be tapped while removing the case itself, so i needed a little help to do it. Dont forget a torque wrench so it can re installed properly.

Anything i can do to help i will.

I put a Dynojet kit in my 400 4x4. No jet kit actually gives more top end power, they say they do but its crap. You can't actually get more power without increasing both air and fuel flow.

I put Dynojet kits in everything though, because what you do get is much better throttle response, and a lot smoother rev from top to bottom. Dynojet achieves this with lots of R&D on the Dyno while measuring fuel/air mixtures throughout the throttle travel, giving a cleaner burn, less muffler fowling, easier cold weather starts, less choke time, and a quicker rev.

I recommend it if there is anything at all you dislike the slightest bit about your throttle response at any time - cold or hot.

Check this site for the kit for your machine, click the kit and read the instructions. You might find it interesting. If you wanna buy it, don't get it from them 'cause Rocky Mt. ATV will save you some money.

Thanks for the help there Hightower but I just looked at the rocky site and they only have k/n,,,I do run k/k in my truck but did not see the dyno kit at rocky. The price is better so I may go with the k/n complete, filter and jet.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that K&N kits actually contain Dynojet jets, with K&N's name on them, they are the same from what I'm told.
Have fun!
