I just got off teh phone with Dan from highlifter, he now has an horsepower kit for the newer cats, The lift will be perfected soon he was hopeing. Also the long awaited release of the OUTLAW tire will be in May.
Well after thirsty mins on teh phone with Dan i decided aganist the Vampire and am getting 27" Mudbugs. he said that they are the closest thing to a all-terrain tire for a quad, the are awsome in the mud and due to every other tread passes the senter line they will ride smoth on the hardpack. also they are six ply which will make them stronge than the vamps. they sould be here by tuesday and I will let you all know how they do.

I had the 27" Mud Bugs on my 454 and they seemed to be alot of tire for it , so I bought a 2000 500 and it seems to handle them much better .
The 500 with the big tires has as much power as the 454 with the small tires.
They seem to be exelent tires, great in the mud and fine on the hard roads ..

ZRT1000:
I like your reasoning:
27" + 454 = OK
27" + 500 = Oh Yeah!
Result- Get BearCat a Big Brother to handle big tires! -Very Nice.
Aside from normal trail riding, exploring, casual riding, do you think the bigger tires will put too much stress on the 500 components during towing, hauling or snowplowing? I've found that playing is significantly more enjoyable than working, but when I have to get the job done, I don't want the larger tires to risk damaging anything.
Thanks for the info.
Mike.

I had the 27" on the 454 for about a month and pushed, pulled , and dragged all the stuff I usually do (trucks, other bikes, ECT.) and I did notice the clutch slipping some ,Maybe I could of adjusted it But it seemed like a good excuse to get a new bike, I have had the 27" on the 500 for a week with no problems. Time will tell ..
