ACT vs Regular?

-={Sup AC fellas? I'm looking to get an AC 400 Auto for my pops. What's the difference between the regular 400 4x4 auto and the 400 4x4 (ACT) auto? I know it's something suspension-wise... but what is ACT? Which of the two has a the best combo of smooth ride and non-tippyness?? Appreciate your feedback}=-

As far as Arctic Cat is concerned they offer ACT and IRS rear suspension. The difference
between' regular' singal or duel shock solid axle rear susp and ACT is that 'regular'
rear susp just has a up and down motion with no individual wheel articulation thus
in alot of cases a ruffer ride but some times a sportier ride. With the 'regular' susp
you will also find in rutted or rocky terrain one rear tire will be on the ground and
one tire in the air.
ACT or Arctic Cat Technology Rear susp is a solid swing axle. It gives you the best of
both worlds. Stability of a solid axle and individual rear wheel articulation. In that rutted
or rocky terrain both rear tires will be on the ground and driving. The ACT rear ends
offer 7.2" of wheel travel at each wheel. My 98 AC 454 with the ACT rear end offers a
comfortable ride while rounding up cattle out in the rough pastures, even after an
all day round up you won't beat to death like you would be on alot of regular solid
axle rear ends. I hope I haven't bored you to much with all of this.I hope this helps.
