We had the same problem with our 2000 300 4X4. It got dunked but it ran good for another year and a half, then it had to be rebuilt. It was still under warranty and the dealer did they work, they bored it over 20 thousandths and put in a new piston I don't know what else. A year later it was back to burning oil. We had a lot of problems with the carbereuter. The 300's don't have a big enough oil cooler. They need one like on your 375 with the fan. The little 280cc engine is being asked to do way to much given the weight alone of the quad itself without a 200 lb rider. We like out 375 though, we buy-passed the thermastat for the fan and wired it to a toggle switch so we can control the fan. Don't want this bigger engine to get to hot.
